ÇAKASubmersible Kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vehicle

About ÇAKA

Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), which have been on the agenda of navies since the 90s and used in many types of missions such as reconnaissance, surveillance, mine detection and harbor defense, have gained a new dimension with the introduction of Kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs). The KUSV Concept offers modern navies with high technological competence the opportunity to further increase their effectiveness by offering alternative courses of action in tactical and operational areas.

In line with our experience in Network Supported Capability, Data Link Systems, systems for the establishment and maintenance of the Defined Maritime Picture, Unmanned Platforms and Autonomy; we are developing the ÇAKA S-KUSV concept, which is designed as a high-speed platform and can work in an integrated manner by supporting these capabilities.

Our ÇAKA S-KUSV system differs from all of the Kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vehicle examples known in the world so far with its diving capability. Thanks to the secrecy and surprise attack effect it provides, it not only contributes to deterrence, but also creates a corrosive effect by forcing the opponent to maintain a high level of readiness for long periods of time. The fact that it can navigate autonomously both above and below water reduces the target's sensitivity to evasive maneuvers. As it is a suicide type weapon, it is not vulnerable to possible close-range interference from combatant surface elements.

Compared to conventional naval mines, our system, which has long-term patrol capability, provides remote real-time target selection and precise remote explosive control to operators.

At the same time, it is not affected by countermeasures applied by warships that reduce acoustic or magnetic signature.
