Our SKYFE product is available in three different settings.
With wireless SKYFE, passengers can access information such as movies, music and flight data with personal devices during the flight.
Passengers can access movies, music, flight information, maps, electronic publications, news and games with SKYFE with seatback display.
In Tablet SKYFE, passengers access content such as movies, music, electronic publications, games, etc. via tablets distributed to them by the airline.
The embedded software activities related to IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) equipment are as follows:
Handset: Business Class handset embedded software, software developed to provide access to IFE content selection, 3D map data and other IFE applications
Media Server: Content server software within media server equipment
Network Server: Software related to real-time network algorithms and redundancy architecture, control of safety-critical warning and announcement messaging
Area Distribution Box: Cabin network control and messaging software, media and data distribution algorithms
Fiber to Copper Converter: Software for converting fiber to copper
Ceiling Monitor: Software for cabin screens that display safety videos, 3D maps, and other videos received from the Cabin Management System
Flight Crew Control Panel: Application and test software that allows the cabin crew to control the IFE System
Communication Box: Interface software for the Boeing 777 platform between Aircraft Systems and Cabin Systems, software related to receiving and interpreting aircraft data (altitude, external temperature, heading, location, etc.), and software related to receiving announcement sounds through the Cabin Services System and transmitting them to seats, as well as transmitting pre-recorded sounds to the cabin announcement system
Safety Critical Embedded Software: Software for each piece of equipment that monitors temperature, current, and voltage levels and reports anomaly situations, and software that manages preventive power shutdowns in potential catastrophic situations
